Beaconsfield Town Centre Chaplain
March 21st 2020
To all the shops and businesses in Beaconsfield
I am part of the staff team at St Michael’s Church, Warwick Road in the Church of England team of churches with St Mary’s in the Old Town and St Thomas’s, Holtspur. For a number of years I have taken on the voluntary role of Town Centre Chaplain for all the churches in Beaconsfield.
On their behalf I am writing to say that we know that this is a really difficult time for you, individually and particularly as businesses. You are in all our thoughts and prayers.
Social distancing and isolation means that I am unable to get round and speak to each of you personally but if anyone would like a listening ear you can ring me on 07968 078698.
Yours sincerely
Hazel Chow
Beaconsfield Town and Workplace Chaplain

A volunteer scheme will be launched soon within the Parish of Bourne End & Wooburn, in partnership with Wye Valley Volunteers. The aim of the scheme is to make contact (whilst observing safe practice) with those who are in isolation and may need help with shopping, prescription collection, a dog walked or just a phone call once a week to keep in touch and boost morale during this period of social isolation. Volunteers (the number will depend on the length of the street or road) will be allocated a "patch" of houses or a street, so that there is a known contact/s who is offering help to those that need it.
The Cookham scheme is starting on Monday from Elizabeth House Day Centre, but our local one is taking a bit longer as we have 15,000 households in the Parish not 3,000! If you are interested in helping in any way, OR you know someone that you think might need help and would not be on the radar of the surgeries or other agency, please email Miriam Blazey at: miriamblazeywbepc@gmail.com. Thank you.
