CAFOD FAMILY WALK

On Sunday 1st October at 2pm leaving from St Dunstan’s Parish Hall.

 

A gentle stroll along the Thames towards Marlow followed by tea, coffee and scones with cream & jam. Fruit and sweets will be available for the children. We would love to see more families participate, so please save the date and come along!

There is no cost or registration, but all donations to CAFOD are welcome!

CAFOD Family Fast

On Friday 06 October.

Come together as a parish, so that families like Meera’s can get help from doctors and other local experts when they need it most.

Dr Nasha’s mobile medical clinic gets life-saving help to where it’s needed most, fast – so when her team arrived in Meera’s village after it had been destroyed by flooding, she rushed to the clinic to get her children the treatment they needed.

CAFOD Quiz Night

On Friday 13 October at 19:00 at Saint Teresa’s catholic Chiurch, Beaconsfield.

 

The annual CAFOD Quiz night will be held on Friday 13th October at 19:00 in St Teresa’s Parish Centre. 

Tickets are £12,50 and this includes a fantastic fish & chip supper – we will also offer a vegetarian option. Tickets are on sale from the Parish office Mondays to Fridays between 09:00 and 13:00.
Donations of raffle prizes would be much appreciated. If you would like to donate a prize, lease hand these to the office at St Teresa’s or to Sister Winifred at St Dunstan’s.

We have CAFOD groups active in both St Teresa’s and St Dunstan’s in Bourne End who organise a number of local initiatives such as Cake Bake Sales and Lenten Soup Lunches. We follow the CAFOD centrally driven seasonal Fast Days which are always fantastically well supported.

In February 2022 we formed a Joint Parish CAFOD team involving St Teresa’s in Beaconsfield, St Dunstan’s in Bourne End and St Augustine’s from High Wycombe. This collective group has serious critical mass and has been highly successful on fund raising since its inception, the total raised to date being in excess of £2500.

We have an ambitious program of events scheduled for 2023 and beyond, incorporating a repeat of our highly successful and highly enjoyable Quiz night, a Race night which will take place in March of this year and a continuation of a series of Family Walks which further boosts our fund raising but also strengthens the feeling of community across all 3 parishes.

We would love to hear from anyone who wants to join us and contribute to a fantastic cause. We can guarantee good fun and real satisfaction on supporting CAFOD efforts. If you are interested, please contact the relevant parish team member below:
