Emmaus – Opening the Scriptures
A series of monthly talks on the Holy Scriptures, looking at their relevance to us in our lives today. An initiative by the South Bucks Pastoral Area under the guidance of Fr Jerome Ituah OCD.
The first four talks will be held in St Joseph’s Church, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross SL9 8RY on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:30pm to 9pm including a time for discussion.
The aim of our sessions is to broaden our knowledge of and to discern the message the Scriptures hold for each of us and their relevance in our daily lives today. Each talk will “stand alone” and will be given by an invited guest speaker. We hope the sessions will offer guidance on reading the Scriptures and a prayerful and reflective time together.
For more details of the sessions please visit the Saint Josephs Parish Website.
Each talk will be recorded and a link to the recording will be sent to all those who have registered with us after the session.
Online Advent Retreat 2023 – Let the Wilderness Bloom!
An Advent journey with John the Baptist
4 Monday evenings, 7.30-8.30pm, from 27th November, with Fr John Udris and Avril Baigent
We know that parishes are starting their Advent planning and this could make a lovely resource for a parish Advent group, either live on the night, or available at any time afterwards. It is available on YouTube so does not require zoom and can be played via smart TVs. Here is last year’s series to give a flavour of what to expect: https://pastoralministryoffice.org/walking_by_starlight-2/
