Father Seán writes ...

This Sunday, in Northampton, the Diocesan Pastoral Council will meet for the first time. The Diocesan Pastoral Council is a gathering of representatives from across the Diocese who together with senior clergy and religious will serve as a lay voice to help the bishop in his governance of the Diocese. We are used to having parish councils and we also have a pastoral area council, but a Diocesan Pastoral Council works at the highest level to reflect prayerfully and creatively with Bishop David on the future of our Diocese, discerning the Holy Spirit together. The Council will take up the recommendations made at the Diocesan Assembly last July. It is an exciting moment in the life of the Diocese! Fr Sean is attending as Provost of the Cathedral Chapter and also Pedro Aparicio, a parishioner at St Teresa’s, who is representing the South Bucks Pastoral Area. Please keep this important gathering in your prayers this weekend!

Childrens Liturgy

On the First Sunday of every month, we celebrate a Children’s Mass and the children play an active part in this Mass. We especially welcome families with young children to this Mass.

On every other Sunday, during the 08:45 Mass on Sundays, children are invited to share in the enjoyment of the parish’s thriving Children’s Liturgy Group.

The group is run by parishioners (all of whom are DBS checked) and help is particularly welcomed from parents.

The Chidren’s liturgy has two groups:

  • Pre First Holy Communion – for younger children who had not yet made their First Holy Communion.
  • Post First Holy Communion – for children who have made their First Holy Communion but have not yet been confirmed.
